Bontrager Race Lite Stem

Bontrager's Race Lite Stem is a reliable race-ready tiller worthy of the finest road and mountain machines. Thanks to its one-piece, cold-forged 6061-T6 aluminum construction, it's strong, light and stiff. The 4-bolt faceplate is ultra tough and evenly distributes clamping forces your bars. And, the angled, opposing-bolt steerer clamp is safe, secure and compatible with carbon steerers.

          Comments:

I got this stem on a new '13 mamba. The stem is very weak and will not hold the headset stack in place. After an initial ride of 12 miles there was a significant amount of play in the headset. After the LBS tightened a second ride produced the same results. I am looking now to replace this instead of going back and forth with the LBS.
