2015 Trek Pure Lowstep - Women's

Spin across town in comfort and style with Trek's Pure Lowstep. With its upright riding position and foot-forward designed aluminum frame, the Pure lets you place your feet on the ground for safety and confidence. And, getting on and off couldn't be easier with the low frame you can step right over. It's also one of the easiest bikes to ride thanks to the at-the-ready controls, upright handlebars, cushy seat and the 7-speed drivetrain that flattens the climbs. Meh...It's UCI legal so it has that going for it. Handles poorly around the corners, managed to crash six times before the EPO kicked in. Came dead last in all 5 stages, but it could be lighter.

              Comments:

I've wanted a bike for a while. I need more exercise, and bike-riding appealed to me more than a lot of other activities. However, being 64, not having ridden in years, and not as agile as I was, I didn't want a regular bike; it's not easy to hop up on the seat anymore. So I read up on feet first bikes, finally went to my local bicycle shop, and WOW! They had a beautiful bike that I tried out right there. Seven speeds, nice, comfortable seat, spare and lean without a lot of gadgets (you can add them if you wish), big tires. Most importantly, I can sit on the seat and have my feet flat on the ground, and because it's so light weight (but not flimsy) I can carry it up onto my porch. Hooray!

I ride this bike at the beach. I an 70 yrs. old and this bike has every thing I need to tootle around the beach area and ride to the beach on. I feel comfortable and relaxed riding this bike even though age is telling on my knees. I've had to give up my Mt. bike and road bike several years ago and I'm extremely happy to find bike I can have fun on and be comfortable.

                    Comments:

Being retired, wanted a bike that was easy to ride without having to bend over the handle bars as I did with my last bike. Very pleased with this Trek. Easy ride and very light weight for taking along camping. One thing that was a negative was that I had a flat tire after riding it 3 times. It seems that the tire tube was rubbing against some scores on the rim that were not covered up. However it was covered by the bike shop warranty.
