2013 Trek Madone 4.5 C WSD

Trek's Madone 4 Series pairs race-level performance and technology with ride-all-day compliance. The light, lean 400-series OCLV carbon frameset boasts a stiff, beefy BB90 bottom bracket for optimal power transfer and a tapered E2 head tube so you can slice through corners with pinpoint precision. The 4 Series also features Trek's DuoTrap technology built into the frame so you can view speed, cadence and more from your ANT+ wireless device (sold separately) all while having the cleanest, most high tech bike around. Shimano's components include a slick-shifting 20-speed Ultegra drivetrain with the perfect gears to spin up the climbs and powerful 105 brakes for complete control on the way back down. This able roadster also sports a sweet line-up of Bontrager's carbon and aluminum components, and a supportive Bontrager saddle, too.

    Comments:

I got a new seat immediately and got fitted at my LBS, which made the bike so comfortable that sometimes I actually forget I am riding. My husband just upgraded his wheels and gave me his carbon wheels so now my bike is a rocket! I love the color scheme and everything about my bike.

        Comments:

"No suspension"? "Too rigid"? Are you kidding me!? It's a road bike! It's supposed to be rigid. If you want suspension, buy a mountain bike. This bike is perfect for avid to competitive cyclists who are looking for an entry into the world of full carbon road bikes. Light, fast, stiff, and responsive. Buy this bike, I did.

          Comments:

Well this is my first road bike so I have nothing to compare to but it's great! I go out almost every night and sometimes with friends, and you can see that it's fast. It's very light, making hills a simple task. Riding just is so much more fun now because you can go farther and faster and the ride is real smooth! The only thing I would complain about is the white handle bar tape (gets so dirty!), but that can be changed.

              Comments:

It has taken me over a year to decide on a road bike. And I am glad I settled on the Madone. I was a mountain biker all of the way and wasn't sure about a road bike. I am SO glad I got one. It is awesome for commuting around town and to work. My first ride on it was 70 miles and it flew! Hills? No problem! The frame design is attractive and the shifters are great. Once I got the seat in the right position I found it very comfortable. Job well done Trek! I am confident that I have a road bike that will be comfortable for years.
