The ride is enhanced with a bump-busting suspension fork that smooths the road and trail ahead. When I first got the bike I noticed how light it was. Then I saw the tires...I usually don't like think tires, but these suite the bike well and riding it, I don't feel any different. It is a constant fun, smooth ride and the shocks are amazing! I love how you can control the bike instead of having to struggle. Now that I have this bike I am sure I will be riding more often! This is the best bike I have owned and I have a feeling I will be riding it forever! Thank you Trek for making this wonderful bike!

    Comments:

Overall this is a great bike !!!!!!! The only problem that I had is that it would not stop very well !!! I when I first got the bike, I would ride it and pull the brakes and no matter how hard I tried, It would take a very long time /distance to stop! I would pull the brake levers back all the way to the grips and it would not lock the wheels at all. I took it back to the bike shop and after 2 hours of adjusting it was still no better . They then replaced the brake levers and now the brakes are FANTASIC!!!!!!

    Comments:

Had a hard time finding the right bike... Wanted good old 26" wheels and the traditional women's step over bar in sturdy mountain bike. I'm 5' tall and after looking at specialized and giant bikes that were either to large and manly or the "townie" style, I found this trek. I've ridden 50 to 60 miles each week since getting this bike and love it! Handles single track trails like a champ and is very comfortable on long rail trail rides. At least for me, the trek xs frame size is perfect. Fits better than any of the specialized frames I tried that cost hundreds more.

    Comments:

I'm no professional, but this bike is fantastic in comparison to the dept store bike I had been riding. My 4 year old daughter is crazy about her bike and because of her, my husband and I are interested in riding again. We took 3 rides with my old bike and I was over it; time for something better. This was it! The ONLY thing I didn't like about this bike was the twist shifters, but thanks to my local bike shop, they are upgrading my shifters to rapid fires and I can't wait! So far, I've rode about 20 miles on the thing and I can't wait to get it back out today and ride with my girls! So much fun! And DEFINITELY worth the money!

I bought this bike after I had a bad accident with my 26-year-old Nishiki bike three years ago and it was unsafe to ride. I bought the 2012 model and I love the turquoise color. I had the mountain tires changed to town tires because I'm not a mountain bike rider. I use it to get around town because I don't have a car. I've had many compliments on this bike!

This is my first Trek and I love it! It is so light and easy to handle. It makes it so easy to get up the hills. It's amazing. The shocks seem to absorb every bump. I've gone over some whoppers and it just keeps on "treking". My husband gave me this bike for Valentine's Day and I would have to say this is the best gift he's ever given me.

This was a gift for my daughter who is new to mountain biking. It is a nice entry level bike and is able to hanle well off the beaten track. I was really impressed with the quality of product for the price paid. Will definitely be going back to purchase the SLX model of this for myself.

Wanted to get started and this was the perfect bike for me. I love the color, so cute! I wanted something that I could ride on trails with my kids and that would be more adventurous when I am ready and this is great. The Trek Bicycle store in West Phoenix (Dysart and McDowell) were SUPER friendly and helpful. They got the sizing right and helped me with a helmet and some accessories. Very professional and knowledgeable. No complaints thus far and I look forward to riding more.
