      Comments:

In addition to my new Pure, I own two TREK mountain bikes. I've road dirt for 15 years, riding every weekend whenever possible. I have never enjoyed riding in town or on the road, I LOVE the dirt. This year my back began giving me problems & found myself avoiding riding because of the pain. I read about the Pure's "Feet First" design & found one to go sit on. I was sold immediately & took it home. I installed a set of huge platform pedals (Crank Bros 5050 2's), a big fat Selle Royal Drifter Gel Saddle, & I mounted a RavX Barrel Bag under the saddle for my tools. Neither of my mountain bikes have been touched since. I ride my Pure every chance I get. I ride it on the road & on mild dirt trails. I rode it for 6 hours last weekend & my back was FINE! This bike has brought the absolute joy of bicycling back to me. I love it!

      Comments:

The factory seat felt uncomfortable, so i switched to a Cloud9 and it was a big difference. Crank Forward riding position is different but comfortable, the numbness i experienced with my beach cruiser has been virtually eliminated with this new set up.. And although i love the matte black color, i feel Trek should offer more color options..Bottom line, I love my Trek!

I bought this bike a few years ago. I was looking for bike that was easy to ride. I ride this to work almost daily. I am able to go on long rides along the bike paths but the river. It has been a great investment.

Ride ten miles a day here in south Florida on my old bike. With this beauty I rode 15 and didn't want to stop. Lovely graceful ride, Comfort in every way. Upright riding makes ride so much more enjoyable. Very glad I bought this Trek. Also, salesman at Cape Coral Trek store was very helpful in picking the right bike for me. Thanks all around.

            Comments:

My wife and I are in our 50s and we bought two Pures when we moved to a subdivision that has lots of bike trails. Neither of us had ridden bikes in years and the Pure made it easy to pick up again. This isn't a bike for climbing mountains or the Tour de France, but for biking around the neighborhood it is perfect. You can stop the bike and stand over it (which you do a lot of in local biking) and the gearing is sufficient for gentle hills. I was particularly impressed with the quality of components and the frame. I'm not sure why people call it heavy-- For a cruiser, it is actually very light. In fact, most of the competing cruisers we looked at were made of steel and were very retro. This is a modern bike in every sense. It is odd that it doesn't come with fenders, considering its intended purpose. It seems that Trek would at least offer a fender package for the Pure, rather than making me go hunt one down that will fit and match the bike.

As a once competitive cyclist, I love hammering the road and have been for 35 years. And at the end of the day, there is nothing better than a relaxing ride on the Trek Pure. Incredibly approachable bike from the beginner to those who have been riding for decades. Without a doubt, this bike is nothing but pure easy-going fun.

Perfect bike for out-of-shape Boomers who haven't had a new bike since you were a kid (bikes with no gears, coaster brakes); easy transition to hand brakes, gears. After a little breakin, shifting is smooth and easy. As it says in the manual, if you are making slow, sharp turns, if you pedal, your foot will hit the front wheel or fender. Heavy, but necessarily so to support heavy rider.

              Comments:

I most like the upright seating position, no strain on back, hands or wrists. The 7 speeds work well for the area where I live and use the bike. Most of my riding time(5-8 miles daily)is in 2nd-4th gear but the others are there for the uphills or downhills. A few more color choices would be nice but surely does not detract from how much fun this bike is to ride. I have not owned a bike of this quality before and am very impressed with how quiet the bike is and how smooth it shifts.I am just really enjoying this bike.
