I love my Trek. It's so easy to use and lightweight. I try to ride at least 3-4 times per week. The best thing is the shifting on the brake levers. It's so fast and easy.

    Comments:

The only big complaint I have is I am 5'3", middle height for a woman, so my fingers are not short, yet getting hold of the brakes with my hands on the hood is quite a challenge. I brught the bike back to the shop and got this auxilliary set of brakes put close to the stem.

Love the bike. Switched from a hybrid to this road bike and vastly improved my time in the bike segments of the triathlon I raced in last weekend.

I am thrilled to own a trek lexa! I had been looking for a used road bike and found the lexa and fell in love! I bought it at mortles in iron mountain Michigan and cannot way enough about the people who work there. They even called me on the morning of my first ride to see how it went!

Great entry level bike, nice and light handles really well. Only slight issue is the brakes are hard to engage from the hoods.

        Comments:

I am currently an owner of the Neko crossover bike, and went to a road bike for me training in the upcoming MS150 bike ride. I like the road bike and it's position, as it elongates my lower spine, and it takes pressure off my lower back. I am still getting used to the grips on the bike as my hands need to find a comfy position while riding.

        Comments:

The Lexa S is my first road bike and it has changed my outlook of riding a bicycle. I love it! We had a rough start at first, but I went to get a bike fit and now we are tuned to each other and the bike now fits like a glove. I now have to overcome speed with turns. I feel this bike is really fast, I'm just not quite ready (I've fallen off a bike recently). I tend to ride for at least 11 miles a day. On weekends, we take longer trips, close to 40 miles. I only have a problem with braking from the hoods. I can get some breaking but not enough to come to a complete stop fast if needed. I have to change hand position if needing to brake fast. Other than that, I enjoy riding my Lexa and look forward to taking the bike out everyday. Best purchase I've made!

          Comments:

I wanted a new bike, I had spent $300 on a used giant from an LBS, but it never felt like it was "my" bike. I even opted for an old American made Road master I had scored at a garage sale over the Giant. So when I had the funds to make a serious purchase I did my researched. There were so many great reviews on the Lexa as an "entry level" road bike. I went to my LBS to text ride and I purchased her that very day. It wasn't until I got her home and really cranked on her that I realized how much power this bike has. She effortlessly climbs hills, picks up speed quickly, she shifts gears easily and it's a comfortable ride. I would definitely recommend the Lexa S if you want a reliable bike for under a grand that tries like a pro!

          Comments:

I have been a dedicated recreational rider and occasional athlete since 2008 with a Trek from 2000/2001 that I love (still goes strong). The only problem is that I'm not happy riding it in the wet or on anything other than beautiful smooth roads. I purchased the Lexa to open up a little more terrain without the weight of a mountain bike. I've done one 12 mile test ride in the wet - handles just fine on wet pavement. It is hard on bumpy trails, so don't expect a comfy ride (even with a nicer seat). The gears seem fine, they are the lower end but I haven't really put in enough time to break them in so we'll see. I also swapped the seat and pedals out. I've sat on stone floors that are more comfortable than that seat. Overall this is a good everyday bike for zipping around on a variety of trails. I've signed up to do a couple of triathlons and I don't think I'd use it for those, but it's just fine for every day biking.
