2011 Trek Speed Concept 7.2

On Trek's Speed Concept 7.2, you'll go faster with the same effort. It's that simple. This aero rocket changes everything with Trek's Kammtail shaping that makes this bike faster in all wind conditions, and the company's TCT carbon that keeps this clock-beater light, efficient and super smooth. Plus for more free speed, Trek ingenuously hid the rear brake, wheel quick releases and even the computer sensor from the wind. And, this sweet ride boasts a fast blend of Bontrager and SRAM goodies, including race-ready Bontrager wheels and an aero Bonty front end.

      Comments:

Just made the change from my Madone 5.1 to the speedconcepts 7.2. What an absolute rocket! Takes a bit to get used to the forward riding position but once you figure it out.....you are gone! No need for fancy pants expensive add ons; race it right out of the box. This bike is like driving a race car at Daytona, with a consistant cadence you cruise at speeds others are cranking to achieve. If you can ride on wide shoulder class A roads, and you are a speed junkie who doesn't mind pushing the limits of your Quads, you are going to love this bike. SRAM vs. Ultegra....the drivetrain works as well as the Ultegra on my Madone. Stay away from bumpy backroads....This bike does not handle well at all on marginal roads. I even had a couple of girls comment on how "cool" the bike looked..LOL, nothing about the rider though.

        Comments:

I have owned the Cervelo P2C, the Trek TTX 9.9, the Felt DA and B2 (new carbon models) and the Speed Concept is by far the best one - and for less money than any of these bikes. It's designed as a complete bike, everything seems integrated flawlessly with room for customization with the three water bottle/accessory holders. Its super smooth yet still feels connected with good feedback from the road - takes away the micro vibrations that can be fatiguing over time, yet transmits power better than any other bike I've ridden. This is a bike I'll keep for a while - as you can see I went through other bikes and never found the perfect one, but finally I've found it with my new SC 7.2. Thanks Trek for listening to what your customers want! Adam
