Red Shield Program

No matter your riding style or preference, buying a new bike is a big investment. With the Trek Red Shield program, you can keep the wheels turning worry-free for up to five years.

Every Trek bicycle we sell comes with one year of Red Shield protection and a lifetime frame warranty*. That means you can spend the next 12 months riding worry-free — we'll take care of braking and shifting adjustments, as well as any defective components.

You can also extend your Red Shield coverage to 3 or 5 years. Pricing varies by bike price and length of coverage.

With extended Red Shield coverage, you get wear-and-tear protection, which covers the breakdown of parts through normal use.

For example, a new chain for a 10-speed-rear road bike costs around $50, plus $10 for installation. With a Red Shield plan in place, the chain and labor fee are covered after the first year of ownership. The program quickly pays for itself simply by installing a new chain each spring and/or fall. Plus, you'll get protection for your wheels, shifters, derailleurs, brakes and more!
